Triumph Do It Their Way

Ashley Street Press Clippings

Of all the bands playing the People’s Rock, Triumph is certainly the most self-made, adopting a policy to headline concerts only, and to build up an audience whether it received assistance from the press and radio or not. The group’s music – cement-hard rock – guaranteed no sympathetic ear in radio, not even Canadian stations, who are legally required to air a certain amount of local music.

They did not make their name by having any hit singles; it took them time to gather their audience through endless live performances. Live At The US Festival is a remastered version of the original concert held before a half million people in 1983 in the burning heat of the Southern California desert.
