Millennium Remastered Series
Are you ready to experience Triumph's music louder, bolder and clearer than ever before? Then pick up any album from their Millennium Remastered Series (MRS).
Released on the band's own TML Entertainment label, the Millennium Remastered Series is all your favourite Triumph albums remastered for your audio enjoyment.
"The audio quality is unbelievable! The difference between the original CDs and the new remasters is absolutely like night and day," says Mike Levine, who's been over seeing the project. Mike hired audio wizard Brett Zilahi to completely remaster the original two-track analog mixes using the latest 24-bit digital technology. It was a process that Mike found "thrilling."
"It wasn't so much a technical experience as a nostalgic one," he says. "Listening to and recreating all of these albums was like jumping right back in the frying pan again!"
All the remastering was done at Triumph's legendary Metal Works Studio in Mississauga, ON, Canada using some of the best audio technology out there.
"These albums were first mastered for CD over 10 years ago. The technology has improved so much since then. In those days CDs were mastered using the original equalization levels for vinyl, which was low. With the new remastering and the 24-bit transfer rate the CDs now sound better than the original recording and we were able to really pound the level to the max onto the CDs. Back then it was 12-bit technology or less, so at a minimum, the transfer rate is twice what it was, meaning that the original recording is being mastered with at twice as much level, clarity and details," explains Mike.
Launched on October 26, 2004 in Canada and November 9, 2004 in the USA, the initial releases included some of the band's best albums like Allied Forces and Thunder Seven.
The latest addition to the collection is the band's debut album In the Beginning, which was originally released nearly 30 years ago.
Sound clips off all the albums released in the Millennium Remastered Series are currently available for listening to in the TriumphMusic.com Store.
