    Band supporting triumph in 2009.

Assuming Triumph brings along another band with them for their full reunion tour what band would you like it to be. I might get bashed for this but I think it would be great for The Prime Rockers to support them on their tour. They opened for Moxy at rock and roll heaven here in toronto on friday and were amazing. The guitarist/singer Steve Madden was in the hair band Reckless, best known for their song Hot And Ready. After Reckless he was formed another band called Marshal Law and now he is of course with The Prime Rockers who play not only their own material but Reckless and Marshal Law songs. Steve is not only a great singer/guitarist but an amazing person. My dad and I hung out with him most of the night and he was very talkative and appreciative that I had heard of him. He even sold us the 4 albums he recorded with his various bands for 60 dollars, which is a good deal since they are very rare albums. I now talk to his gf through facebook, who was also there, and they are really good people. Not ego-tistical at all. If anyone deserves to tour with Triumph its Steve. In fact the second and last Reckless album Heart of Steel, which included Hot and Ready was recorded at Metalworks and Triumph is even thanked in the liner notes of the album. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=LaYJp7gNfP8 Hot And Ready by Reckless http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6382504043782540741 Sixteen Excited by Marshal Law http://www.myspace.com/theprimerockers Prime Rockers myspace page

I think we probably should be looking more for a band that Triumph can support...sorta.  I like the idea of coheadliners with the Scorps.  No offense to The Prime Time Rockers but they won't draw fans to fill a semi-large venue.  I don't think Triumph can fill a semi large venue right now.  I can see them gaining fans as the tour progresses though.  But they really need a band that can help jump start the fan base again.
Can't you feel the magic, feel it everywhere, Can't you hear the music, there's something in the air, There's a celebration, deep within a song, Celebrate this feeling, you know it can't be wrong

I agree totally, I probably wasn't being too realistic, but I could see the Prime Rockers opening for Triumph when Triumph has gained enough fans to fill out a semi large venue. Steve might have some connections with them since he recorded in the same studio with them. Now that I think of it, it was 1984 when they shared the same studio, which would have been the recordings of Thunder Seven. Did you check out any of those links from the first post? I think its great stuff.
