    Favre Retires...

there are many depressed people at school right now lol

I'm disappointed, I now feel as though I have no reason to watch football, since I wasn't much of an NFL fan before, I just sorta liked watching Favre because he had a ton of fun.  We'll see how Aaron Rodgers does.  NFL isn't going to be the same...

Can't you feel the magic, feel it everywhere, Can't you hear the music, there's something in the air, There's a celebration, deep within a song, Celebrate this feeling, you know it can't be wrong

Nobody in Minnesota where I am from is too dissapointed, except the diehard packers fans who live here, it was always a great to see the Vikings vs Packers with Farve, best of luck to him!

Since when did this have to do with people caring, its more about you degrading someone that has been one of the best things for the NFL ever.  He never went out and got DUI's, never caught with drugs, and wasn't ever in bar fights or anything.  I really do not see why you take this so personally but it pisses me off.  I can't figure out why the hell you're all high on Barry effin Bonds when the guy has used more *** in his career than is known.  But Favre, the guy who for the last decade and a half has kicked your football team's ass is a bad guy...wonder why that is.   How about you show the guy more respect since thats all he's shown to the NFL throughout his career.

And if you throw that bullshit addicted to painkiller arguement out there thats really going to piss me off.  He had a problem, he dealt with it, its over.  It could have happened to anyone, why do you think they dont want to give everyone vicodin?  Because its a highly addictive drug...

If there was some sort of legitimate arguement for these rediculous posts then I would have no quibble with it.  Its just the fact that you hate the guy because he beat your team over the last 15 years.  Did you see the other Viking fan's post?  He didnt say anything degrading in it...and wished Brett(yes thats Brett, with two t's) the best in his future.  I'm not even a huge Favre fan or anything, but ignorant posts piss me off...

    Re: Favre Retires...

Brett is a reflection of the team for which he played; classy, humbled and worthy of the term: Professional.

I don't think the NFL has 'kissed Brett's ass' at all. He is retiring after a very long and prosperous career, one that even the greats of yesterday and current would love to have, and they are remembering his successes. No reason to dismiss the man's handiwork and accomplishment over the years, it most certainly was not easy.

I think you nailed it Ben, this person is just mad because the Packers got the best of the Vikings for years.

    Re: Favre Retires...

first of all barry is not my favorite ball player i never said he was. when bret lost his pops that was mighty ballsy of him to play that monday night game i give him all the slaps on the ass for that .with that said  when the packers did'nt go out and make any moves a year ago and did'nt trade for moss he cried and bitched that he was gonna retire .(some professional)he gave up that phantom sack to michael strahan (bret playes for the passion of the game)and yet no one talks aboot that. he thew 288 picks most ever he cries to the refs when things arn't going his way do you not see that when the packers win it's all bret when they lose they do't have a running game ,no pass blocking the defence played bad but let's  not blame bret he played hard today  .he beat the vikes so what the vikes and packs are gonna keep playing long after bret is gone and i'm still gonna hate them  .and i don't care if you get pissed off aboot that i write he took  painkillers he did, he addmitted the was addicted to them and had to have them to play thru injury. if he was'nt on them and had to sit out he might not have the records he set.(other than the picks) he won a super bowl, lost a super bowl and lost more in the playoffs than he won that is a fact he is no montana, elway bradshaw,or even tarkenton.look dude i have plenny of buds that are packer fans(will you be my friend) and we all talk crap to each other and i will always hate the packers and continue to talk crap aboot them and who ever plays for them as far as i'm concered bret was not all that great he was just an ok qb and if you don't like it to bad.the fact that everyone makes him out to be a saint when he's not is what i can't stand so there that is why i hate bret (the for you i won't say it )farve. one more thing GO VIKESBeer

    Re: Favre Retires...

I respect the Green Bay organization and their fans and I'am sure they will miss Brett. He was one of the top competitors in the history of the NFL. He will be in Canton in five years(if he doesn't change his mind). Sometimes stats don't tell the whole picture. Who cares if he has the most picks. How many games did he pull out of his hat? Joe Namath had more picks than TD's. That guy changed the game. He was a leader. So was Brett. I would agree about the phantom sack against Straham, did not like that one(I was a Gastineau fan).

    Re: Favre Retires...

Favre is one of the few players I've heard of these days, so he must be pretty good. My only quibble is that he doesn't know how to correctly pronounce his last name. It's "Fahv-ruh" not "Farve." Therefore he will go into the Athletic Mispronouncers' Hall of Fame along with Picabo Street (correctly pronounced "Pi-kah-bo" not "Peekaboo" no matter how those foolish Idahoans choose to mishandle a Native American language, and by the way, the town of Picabo is near Triumph). Word.

    Re: Favre Retires...

It just became a lot easier to win in the NFC with Brett gone.

Even a lame team like the NY Giants can win the Super Bowl.

    Oh sh-t, that happened already.............

Well maybe even TRIUMPH will reunite now ......................(off the subject)

    Oh Sh-t that happened too...............

Maybe Barroid will play this year...............

    Oh sh-t that's not gonna happen............................[:'(][:'(]Party!!!

I think I covered all the sports O-sh-ts in one post, except for Matt Walsh

Coming soon..................... to a sports story soon. Well maybe not because Nixon( oops Goodell) will destroy the evidence.

GO PATS (the best 18-1 team EVER  in NFL history)

Yea................. now I got it all (yes I know the RAMS suck) .......... Now I got it all

    Hank
