What do you use

    What do you use

    I know we got a few musicians on here. Does anyone record their stuff. If so what software do you use?

    Pro Tools seems to be the an industry standard nowadays. Outta my price range.

    I've messed around with Cool Edit (Adobe Audtion), Wavelab, Soundforge and Acid Pro. A few others here or there.

    yay 700 posts..special me, anyway I feel like I'm reading chinese or something in this thread lol...none of it makes sense-I guess I'm not enough of a(more like not at all) musician to understand what the stuff is thats being used today

    Dont worry Ben, All it is a distraction. Software designed to give you fits at times and keep you from actually practicing. Congrats on the 700th

    yeah its a big milestone on Triumphmusic.com haha, I'm probably using some money I got for my birthday to buy a few cd's and something for Bailie tonight...so I'll have to skim over the boards and get a few ideas-probably going to try to find first glance by april wine, ummm dont say no by billy squier, something by jeff beck....what else? I donno I'll find something I like there-always do!

    When it comes to recording music digitally, Macintosh is the best. I use their Garage Band program, but I know there are ever better ones out there use spesifically for Macs.

    I use Guitar Tracks Pro 3. Its not the best, but it has some pretty good drum loops on it.

    sometimes it may as well be in chinese. biggrin.gif

    Nowadays though you dont need to be a musician (although it helps) to use this kinda software. You just need patience and a willingness to learn.

    who knows with a little messing around you could turn out to be the next gil

    what do you use guitar tracks for? do you actually make full songs or do you just record yourself playing guitar and then program the drums.
