    Any Musicians here?

I attempt to play electric guitar. Mostly bluesy type tunes.

What do you have for gear? a link to your website?

    Re: Any Musicians here?

I myself am a drummer, with no band right now, click on my link below for my website, it's a drummer's forum. I'm in between kits right now as I'm waiting on a custom set I ordered to be finished, hopefully by the end of November.

    Re: Any Musicians here?

I have a minidisc recorder but each time I've used it the sound was not that great, when I get my new kit I'm going to try covering a couple of walls with some moving blankets and see if that helps the quality. If not then I can rig up my electric set to record directly onto the minidisc.

What you mention intrigues me, how do you guys put it all together?

We all share a common piece of guitar equipment. A digitech GNX4. Its a guitar workstation. Ill post the link. Basically an mp3 is passed around and guys play what they want over the mp3 saving it to the unit. The built in Drums are lame and nobody has mastered the drum software yet. We did just get drum kit from hell though. I human drummer may be cool. I can email you a sample of whats going on now.

    Re: Any Musicians here?

That looks like a fun little toy! I fairly illiterate when it comes to things electric, but I'd be willing to try just the same, sounds different.

    Re: Any Musicians here?

I know what you mean, there's nothing quite like the sound of a Strat through a tube amp. Sorry I'm a Stratocaster man myself, I've got 2 SRV's (a 91 and a 96) and a Jimmy Vaughan, I love the sound and feel of them, now if only I had a fraction of the talent their namesakes have.

    Re: Any Musicians here?

    That's a great finish.

I like the SRV a lot, it's has great action on the neck and feels really comfortable in my hands, it took a little to get used to the whammy bar being on top of the bridge but wasn't a big deal.

    Re: Any Musicians here?

I play the wood block. I hit myself on the head with a stick.. tounge.gif

Seriously though, I used to play quite abit of guitar but don't even own one now.
    In the past I've had:
69 Black Les Paul Custom with Dimarzio super II pickups
    72 Fender Stratocaster with 3 bolt-on neck
Fender Deluxe Strat Plus with Lace sensors, Crimson-burst finish
    Ibanez double (12/6)
    Ibanez Artist EQ.
    Ibane Roadstar
    Les Paul Studio

    Amps:
Marshall 50 watt Lead head with VT cabinet (4x12 Celestions)
LabSeries 200 watt head with 4x12 cabinet (very shitty solid state amp made by Norlin)
    Various Peaveys
Marshall 100 watt Valvestate (very cool combo amp)

    Effects:
    Numerous Electro-Harmonix stomp boxes
    Morley volume pedal
    MXR phase, Boss pedals etc.

p.s. How do you post pictures on this site ???

    Paste the link
    Hit the button again

Note* right click a web image and select properties to get the link.
Highlight the link>Right click>copy> follow steps above.
