Time Goes By and Killing Time

They played Time Goes By live on the Thunder Seven tour, not Killing Time though.

If you want to hear Time Goes By live there's a bootleg of Triumph playing in LA on the T7 tour with that song.

I also have a bootleg from Worcester MA that includes Time Goes By. I was actually at this same show!!

I've said it before, I'll say it again ... "Rock Out, Roll On"

Count me in on that one, too. An under-rated Triumph song. Young Enough to Cry would also be a choice of mine.

Young Enough to Cry has some pretty fast fretwork by Mr. E!  Be cool to see him rip through that solo live.

Can't you feel the magic, feel it everywhere, Can't you hear the music, there's something in the air, There's a celebration, deep within a song, Celebrate this feeling, you know it can't be wrong

I did not know the group had performed Time Goes By on the T7 tour; that is by far my favourite Triumph song.  If someone care to share the live version, my e-mail address is frank_schenker@yahoo.com.  Thunder Seven is Triumph's high mark, recording wise.

I have always wanted to hear the band do "Killing Time" live. It's always been one of my favorite Triumph songs since the first time I heard it. Rik and Gil's vocal trade-offs on this one still gives me chills to this day.

I love that tune, right up there with "In the night" for me.

I guess at this point in my life Id be happy to see the guys play anything, but beyond what they have been playing "Little boy blues" would be my pick this night.

...Don't think Rik's voice would be able to handle "In the Night", I think that song probably has his greatest vocal range...ever? maybe.  He gets waaaaaay up there.

On the other end of the spectrum though...Rik singing lower which didn't happen often with Triumph, Straight Up is a tune from Ipso Facto that he sounds great one without hitting the higher register!

EDIT: this just hit me, ditch Rocky Mountain Way...replace it with Headed for Nowhere...it already has the dueling guitars built into the song with Rik and Steve Morse trading solos...and its a Triumph original tune

Re: Which song would you like to hear live?

They did indeed play TGB on the T7 tour.

One of my favorites. Unfortunately, I truly don't think Rik's vox is up to that one. It would be even more of a stretch than Never Surrender is.

Just a Game is a song I would like to hear the present day Triumph do. It would sound better with the extra guitarist, cause it's basically a two-guitar tune. And the vocal range is quite reasonable, don't see Rik having any issues.

Hard Road would be another. (Did they ever play it live?) Also The City. All three parts. (Um, if memory serves I don't think there's any real wailing vox work on that one, either. )

Don't look back in anger, don't look ahead in fear. You just keep takin' her as she comes, until she comes in clear. The love you send out, returns to you in time.
