I've seen TRIUMPH twice........1st time was Thunder Seven tour (2nd row middle front floor seats), incredible, I almost caught one of Rik's picks! 2nd was of course Sport Of Kings tour. Great experience both times. Hoping the 3rd will be in 2009!!
FIGHTER
Sad to say 0.
I became a fan a little to late when I was 13 and Sport of Kings came out. Simply, never had the opportunity to see them.
I saw Rik many, many times over the years and got a chance to meet him and get picture with him. Class guy!
Once...Sport of Kings tour (Reunion Arena, Dallas, TX).
Rik solo...twice (both at Poor David's Pub, Dallas, TX).
Twice. 1985 & 1987. Both in the Cleveland, Ohio area (the now vacant Richfield Coliseum). The '85 show was great - the big TRIUMPH lights! I took a picture when those suckers lit up! Seats were OK; about half way back, on the side, lower level. It was a New Year's Eve show which made it kinda special. I remember Rik played a little bit of "Auld Lang Syne" towards the end of the show.
I had fairly close floor seats at the '87 show but was blindsided by seeing Santers on stage when the show started. (I had no idea!) I must say, I'm a little disappointed hearing that they will probably bring an extra guitarist with them on these upcoming shows & possible 2009 tour. I prefer Triumph as a raw 3-piece.
But if that's the way it's gonna be, then so be it. I'll take a 4-piece reunited Triumph over no Triumph anyday.

11 times for me. I grew up in the Riverside area of Southern California, so plenty of opportunities as they played at least 2-3 venues that were pretty close to home for me and my crew:
--Just a Game tour at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium--Progressions of Power tour at Santa Monica Civic--Allied Forces tour at Santa Monica Civic--Allied Forces tour at Rose Bowl (w/Journey, BOC and Aldo Nova)--Never Surrender tour in Tucson, AZ (local shows in LA area got cancelled because of contractual agreements with US Festival; I remember camping out for tickets at the box office the night before they went on sale at Long Beach Arena and a sign went up saying show had been cancelled. Bummer! But we road tripped to Tucson because that was closest city they could play in before US Festival as per the agreement)--Never Surrender tour at US Festival--Thunder Seven tour at LA Sports Arena (the night they were "live from LA" on radio nationwide; Gil was sick as a dog but gutted it out)--Thunder Seven tour at Orange Pavillion in San Bernardino, CA...definitely not a great place to see a concert--just a big warehouse and the roof is really low, which kept the Triumph sign from being hoisted, but still they rocked--Sport of Kings tour at Long Beach Arena--Sport of Kings tour at San Diego Sports Arena--Sport of Kings tour at Orange Pavillion
Looking forward to making it an even dozen at Rocklahoma and then hopefully more!

thunderdawg:Once: April 14, 1985 in Halifax. Had pretty good seats (blue line at the "stage" end, about 7-10 rows up off the floor). Very memorable evening.
we were at the same show...it was beyond fantastic, as a young fan seeing 'their band' for the 1st time was all i could ever imagine and more. i was 3rd row, 2nd seat in from centre, staring straight at mid-neck of rik's guitar...got a pick, and rode the wave for weeks
seen them on the sok tour the following year at the metro centre (when the 'night of triumph' concert was filmed) and although very good, not quite at the same level as the t7 show

Hi Ashley
Why did they play Wooster multiple times on the same tours but not back to back dates ? I have seen some other cities/tours that they did that.
Do you know ?
Back to the Never Surrender Tour, they played in San Berdoo in Feb and planned to come back in Mar/Apl(cancelled Long Beach because of US fest contract ? Does anybody know more about that, I was really bummed because that would have been the first big arena show wFoghat)
??????????????
It seems like it would cost less to play the cities in the same area all at once.
