    SixString:
I guess somebody is going to have to guide me through the steps of posting a photo.  I have the photo saved to my desktop but can't seem to get it added to my posts.  I drag it to my post and all seems good, but when I hit the post button the image does not appear.

How big is the picture? If its too large use a site like http://photobucket.com/ and just link the picture.  Also use the options tab "Add Attachment" function.

If you are unsure of any of this let me know here or through pm.

Hey SixString, to expand further on Drew's advice when you make a post click the image that looks like a tree. Then if your image is on a server somewhere you can add the url and it will appear in your post. It even gives you control of resizing the image and more. I hope this helps.

    Congratulations Triumph

Yup I wasnt clear. Kendalls advice is for linking the picture if you had it someplace online like photobucket. The other attach option is for uploading from your pc.

    Re: Guitars

Thanks for the info guys.  Here is what happens now -- when I go to the "Options" tab and click on the "Add/Update" button I get a window that tells me I don't have permission to upload or link to files.  Could that be the problem?

ha ha ha yup that will do it. That may still be a canned answer for file size issues. Email me the pictures so I can play with them imschur@gmail.com

    Hi

Here is picture of me in 1978 when I was 16 with all my hair and 135 lbs. soaking wet. Doing my best Rik Emmett impersonation. LOL

Our band played a Christmas assembly at my highschool. We did 3 songs. Take Me To The Kaptin by Prism, Rocky Mountain Way by Triumph and 1 original song. Just before we were to go on, my guitar teacher hands me his 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard (in the picture) to use. I had a crappy LP copy at the time. I just about soiled myself !! This guitar was appraised at around $8000.00 in 1978. Today it is worth in the range of $250,000 to $450,000 USD    YIKES !!!

I'm starting to get back into guitar again. I just bought a new Marshall combo amp and am now looking for a guitar.

Leaning towards a Strat or Strat-style. I received a DVD from Carvin and they look pretty darn good as well.

    Cheers

Thanx Drew. We sure had alot of fun back then in our "days of innocence" Cool

I was no different than thousands of other young guys trying to emulate their heros.

I received a DVD from Marshall Amplification and one of the performers was Gary Moore. Man can that guy wail!!

Most people don't know that Peter Green wrote "Black Magic Woman" by Santana.

I like this web-sight. Some knowledgeable people reside here. Yes
