huh ??
Not sure I follow you on this one.
If every team does it, then what's the problem ??
Actually I'm a Chargers fan....
oh well, ya got me....
May the best team (Patriots) win.
Go New York....create an upset for the ages.
NY Football Giants by 3, in OT.
*Cough* I was wrong. It didn't go to overtime *cough*
Giants by 3.
Poor Tom. Poor Bill.
No perfect season.
That was one of the best Super Bowls I've ever seen, I'll say that for sure. Great drama, congrats to the underdog G-Men and congrats to the Pats for a terrific season.
just like i said the giants would win 17-14
Luvers666:Giants 23 - Patriots 20
SPHERRERA:hey az have a good time this sunday brother.why not throw up a triumph sign about the reunion for the world too see.
Well, that certainly was a different game than some expected. Congrats. to the Giants ! They played a great game. Their defense was spectacular ! How Manning managed to get off that one pass without being sacked was unbelievable.
Patriots didn't deserve to win this one.
Tom Petty was pretty good at 1/2 time as well.
Luvers666: SPHERRERA:hey az have a good time this sunday brother.why not throw up a triumph sign about the reunion for the world too see.Funny that should be mentioned. By halftime it was so obvious what was happening that I wanted to be there holding a sign that had the lyrics to Just A Game printed on it.Sad that after 35 years of watching Football, it sickens me to know that it too has joined the idea of Corporate America. It was like watching a Wrestlemania, might as well call it the XFL.Welcome to the kingdom, the land of bought and sold A world of real-life fantasy where truths are seldom told Try hard to remember all that glitters is not gold You can pay the piper, but you cannot buy his soul It's just a game, you're in it all the way It's just a game, don't let yourself slip away It's such a shame, I heard somebody say It's just a game, and all I can do is... PlayThat would have been the most fitting halftime song, have Triumph play their first gig in 20 years there. Play one of their greatest 'political' songs at an event overrun with 'rigging' and 'scandals', and yet they have the right to accuse the Patriots of cheating.
Wow, how would you change the way the game is presented? I'm currious to know what "rigging" and "scandals" you are refering to? They didn't accuse the Patriots of anything, the Patriots got caught and that's that. Have other teams done it? Maybe, and if the league caught another team doing it they would punish them the same. I didn't have a horse in this race so, I just wanted a great game and I got one. The best part was the ref's were not a factor. The play that stands out is Belichick going for it on fourth and thirteen, I think his ego got the best of him there. Your in a dome, no wind, a damn good kicker, you kick the field goal.
As for bringing a sign for the reunion, that was a BIG no go from the N.F.L.. Although, some fans did get a couple in, I don't know how since they almost made me toss my tiny camera case out. Had a blast though.
Now Spygate will rear its head in New England. Last night was the Giants' night. The next couple of weeks could belong to a Congressional committee trying to get to the bottom of who the Patriots videotaped, when they videotaped and what benefit they derived from videotaping. ESPN reported yesterday what I feel is the absolute truth: If the league or Congress interviews former Patriot video man Matt Walsh, and it's proven that the team videotaped opposing teams' defensive signals in violation of NFL rules, Bill Belichick will be suspended.

The play that stands out is Belichick going for it on fourth and thirteen, I think his ego got the best of him there. Your in a dome, no wind, a damn good kicker, you kick the field goalThe 'scandal' I was referring to is quite simple actually, read closely:On September 9th 2007, four plays into the FIRST game a person with a video camera was caught video taping the Jets Defensive Coordinators signal calling. The man was vacated from the premises, the tape confiscated and the Patriots were fined 250,000 and a First Round pick docked. What's the point? The NFL has a rule stating that it is ILLEGAL to videotape another teams signal callers during the game. Now you may ask, okay so that is cheating.....right?NO - The rule was NEVER in place until September 13th 2007, four days later, thus not making it a 'cheating' situation. The bottom line here is this:The NFL's biggest calling-card is 'Parody', a chance for any team to go all the way in any given year. So whenever there is one team who continues to win, the people who dislike them come out of the woodwork, it's just the nature of the business. In all honesty it did not really matter who the NFC team was, the NFL made sure the Patriots would not finish 19-0, because then the 'cheaters' would prove once and all that it was nothing more than the league trying to derail them.I have been a New England fan since 1972 and I have never stopped watching one of their games, even when they were killed 46-10 by the Bears in Super Bowl 20. But I turned the game off in the third quarter, utterly disgusted how the game was unfolding, knowing that was not the same team from the previous 18 games. I turned it back on right before they started their drive to go ahead and when I seen Asante Samuel, one of the most sure-handed men in the league, drop a pass a blind men could catch. I knew then and there what happened, seeing Jarvis Green let Eli Manning go thus rewarding the big play. Face it, classy humbled individuals never get their respect because 97% of the world would rather see the '***' succeed.
While what you wrote about the rule maybe true, but, the league had sent a blanket statement out before the season started and told all teams, the penalitys would be severe if caught. Again, they did and they got caught. I was actually rooting for the Pat's until Belichick dissed Tony Dungy after their game. Dungy is a class act, you don't do that to a class act. The part I'm confused about is, you are a very loyal Pat's fan but, are you accusing your own players of throwing the game? Your team went 18-1, that is great, sucks now but they will be back. Give yourself a break, don't look for a conspiracy theroy here, there isn't one. If you want to know pain, try rooting for the AZ Cardinals.
