thunderdawg:No name calling from me, drew, but I must respond to Tom Brady's mother. hahaha. I'm just talking football, I take nothing here personal. Even when called an "idiot".luvers....1. Sorry I called you a dude. I shouldn't have assumed you were a guy.2. The Pats have had a fairly soft sked, too, or did you forget they play in a division with the Bills, Dolphins and Jets?....but 12-0 is a record that can't be argued with.3. The Ravens, who's O-line is old, exposed the Patriots to some degree... they can be run on, right up the gut... it would not surprise if NE beasily beat the Steelers, but it also wouldn't be a shock if Pitt ran it down NE's throats.4. Peyton is more than "okay"... he does have good receivers, but he's also smart, great arm and (this always gets overlooked) a quick release. And I would argue the Pats' O-line is just as good as Indy's. 5. What Gruden did was nothing... working with the scout team in practices, exploring the other team's tendencies. Every team does it.6. Maybe Belichick isn't a greaseball - that was probably over the top. It's just the fans in Cleveland hated him, not only because he cut Kosar, but because he wasn't very friendly to the fans, at all. Although he has enough personality to entice a married woman into an affair.... come to think of it, that's kind of greasy, isn't it?7. Oh, and if the Pats didn't break any rules (which they did), why did they pay such a huge fine, get dinged for draft picks and not say a word about it, other than they wanted to "move on"? And Brady is always whining to the officials, BTW. Always.Have a nice day.

Yes the Patriots can be run on, they utilize the bend but don't break philosophy, which means in between the red zones you can gain whatever you want, although I will admit their red zone defense needs work.
I respect the Steelers and their organization for what they did in the 1970's. Throughout that decade I use to love reading about/watching the Browns games and the Steelers had their number then, but I still gave the Steelers their respect.
The Pats schedule could have been tougher yes, but so could have the Colts, but oh well.
By the way I never once claimed, EVER, that the Patriots did not 'break any rules', I said they never 'cheated'. There is a huge differece there. Every team bends the rules, some bend a little, some bend a lot, some damn near break the thing off.
As far as Belichick goes, you may not like him and what he did to a married woman may have been wrong, but she deserves just as much blame as he does. But I do not care, whatever Bill wants to do in his personal life is his business and his only. If he wants to donate 465,847,683 dollars to charity every year or go out and be a greaseball, that is his business. He has never paid my bills so therefore I could truly care less, I will still go to sleep tonight, go to work tomorrow.
And by the way: Tom Brady's Mother?
" And by the way: Tom Brady's Mother?"
little joke there luvers666.
Back to football and Week 14.
The Browns at 7-5 NEED to beat the dog-ass Jets on Sunday or our playoff hopes really take a nosedive.
We're probably not gonna catch the Steelers to win the AFC North, best to hope for is a wildcard. The Steelers are 9-3, two games up on us but they beat us twice so we even if we tied them with the same number of wins, they get the tiebreaker.
The Packers are rolling along, no worries there, but I notice the Vikes are on fire and back in the playoff race. And to the Vikes fan here: yes, Tarvarius Jackson is doing much better, I watched last week's game and he's playing more in control.
Losing to Arizona last week sucked big time for the Browns (I won't complain about the officials like some have about that call at the end of the game, we got some breaks too earlier and really didn't deserve to win).
the thing with the vikes though, sure Tavarius is looking better, but when you run for 240 in a game or whatever there really isnt much asked of the quarterback, I dont think he would preform well if he was asked to win them a game putting it all on his shoulders...who knows though
Update:
Pats still unbeaten, will probably remain so. IF they lose, it'll be in the playoffs.
Steelers have struggled a bit and are banged up, they lost their best D-lineman in A. Smith and are tied with the Browns. It's gotten interesting in the AFC North.
Vikings have been resurrected. T. Jackson has played better, they have a pretty good defence. I thought they were done five weeks ago.
Browns are 9-5 - unbelieveable to Browns fans haha - and we would clinch a playoff spot if we beat the Bengals on Sunday. It has been a fun year.
The Packers suddenly have a chance for home field advantage in the NFC, after the Cowboys lost. Romo has to stop bringing hot chicks to the game lol. Green Bay has been a surprise & IMO it's either them or Dallas in the Super Bowl. But.... My dark horse SB pick is the Vikings..
Raiders are... well let's just say you'll have a high draft pick.
just think if the Lions were able to hold on and win when they played Dallas, the Packers would be in the drivers seat then! Oh well, I wonder how much Romo's hand injury is going to affect his playing. It could make the next couple weeks difficult for him...and maybe they would lose a game, meaning if the Pack wins out they have home field for the playoffs.
Congrats to Brett for breaking the all time passing yards record. I knew it was no mistake that he threw it to Driver...they're really good buddies, I was happy to see it happen that way.
I'm still not sold on Tavares Jackson...when he throws for like 300 in a game maybe, but for now he's in like..Jason Campbell status for me, very average and above average mobility. Dont see him winning a game if someone shuts down their running game.
Knetzke, I'll be rooting for your Packers in the NFC, and the Chargers/Jags in the AFC.
Thanks to the Colts tanking it against the Titans last night, my Browns missed the playoffs, goddamn it.
Not that I blame Dungy for worrying about his own team because I'd want my coach to do precisely what he did, but he put in his backups for the second half and absolutely screwed us. It sucks. Oh well, we had a good year, no one thought we'd win 10 games.
Jags are gonna be tough, I was rooting for the Colts to win so your Browns could make it T-Dawg! I really dont care for the Colts either, but I wanted to see the Browns get in.
Packers impressed me by winning that big with most starters only going 3 possessions. I've always thought Craig Nall could get the job done if a team would give him a chance but no one has yet, I think he's a legit backup. I know if he does get a chance to start it wont be in Green Bay though, Rodgers is getting waaaay too much money to not be the guy that takes over after Favre retires. Ryan Grant was the guy that made the Pack better this year, he fits the zone blocking scheme really well, one cut and he goes. There's no dancing with him.
I don't care who it is, but I want someone to beat the Cowboys! I'm so sick of hearing about fricken Romo...and John Madden is crazy or something, he was saying Brett Favre is Romo-like on a sunday night game earlier this year. John...who was around first? I think it would be Romo is Favre-like? But seriously, they can stop talking about Romo he's been in the league for 2 years as a starter and its like he's one of the greatest ever...then they talk about all the women with him and it just annoys me to no end...
I am a big Steelers fan. But I honestly think the Jags are going to beat us.
then the Jags will face the Pats. So then I will be a Jag fan...
