that Steeler/Seahawk game made me sick!! the Moss O-interference call was so horrible it was comical...he did nothing other than run to a spot turn around and jump...

how good are the Pats though? wow winning away from home with totally lopsided officiating? against the only other team of (or almost) their caliber, Tom Brady finally broke a sweat in a game I think

They were all absurd, even the one on Asante Samuel. I think the NFL did it deliberately to cause more controversy in an already over hyped game. The Pats are going, to think the Steelers even have a chance is totally beyond me

There isn't a team in the world that can't be beaten.

    Any given Sunday.

Even the Browns played the Pats tough in Foxborough earlier this year - we were in it until late in the 4th - and the Steelers are a a better all-around team than the Browns. Do you know how good the Steeler defence is? At, or near, the top of the NFL in almost every important defensive statistical category.

    Either way, we'll see.

yeah, nothing is set in stone in the word of sports, bad day for one team or a phenominal game from another and there could be an upset

I was extremely pleased that my Steelers beat the Ravens. I don't take any games for granted and realize that Cleveland is hanging around. The Steelers must stay focused on the Browns and take care of business. I thinks its funny now that the Pats beat the Colts, the media is looking for the next team to build up for the Pats. Now I'am hearing the media bandwagon jump on the Steelers. We don't need the attention. I would rather keep a low profile, let the chips fall and see who comes through in the playoffs.

Re: how's your football team doing

Actually marco you have the type of team that can beat New England: great defence and a good running game. Hate to jinx your team, though (that's a lie, I'd love to jinx 'em haha).

Anyways, I would dearly love to go into Pittsburgh Sunday and upset the Steelers. You guys have bullied us for a few years now and if we can somehow win, we'd be in a tie for 1st. I really doubt we'll win cuz I think your team's better than the Browns, but I'm hopeful.

Wish the Browns luck marco? Wink

Browns are going to give MY Steelers a very tough game. Browns are a good team now.

NFL has changed the time of the Steelers at Pats game to a 4:15 Eastern start. It can not be moved again, according to the NFL.

    Hey Thunderdawg,

What a game yesterday. I followed it on the computer because I live in Bills Country. The Browns came to play and that was the game of the week. Joshua Cribbs is a very dangerous returner. You must have gone crazy watching that game. Big Ben came through big time with that 30 yard run. I had a feeling it was gonna be a tough game. You guys kept coming back in the end, then we did. Unreal!

Yeah it was a great game marco, congrats! (and you don't know how hard that is to say lol). I got the NFL Ticket so I watch the Browns every week... every Sunday is a rollercoaster. Tough one to lose, but if someone told me two months ago we'd be 5-4 and in the thick of the wildcard chase... I'd have taken it in a heartbeat.

I thought we might have had this one, but the Steelers got it done in the end, as they often do. Browns are 5-4 now... and will have to set our sights on a wildcard.

Yeah. It was a great game, too bad one team had to lose.

Browns are becoming a good football team.

Go Steelers on to the Jets. I hope it is not a trap game

I should be able to see the Steelers-Jets game. Steelers have to keep focused and get the job done. They have to win this game or else the Browns game will mean squat.

    Update:

Browns first, lol: huge, miraculous win over Baltimore Sunday. 6-4, wildcard hunt, easy schedule from now on (but any given Sunday)

Pack is 9-1, Favre is having a great year thought he was washed up. The D seems good, too. Good for the Green Bay Packers & knetzke

Vikes need a QB. In the worst way.

Steelers lost to Jets on Sunday, but they are still a very good team with a great defence. They can beat any team in the NFL.

Pats: wow, they're almost unstoppable and could go 19-0. You have to tip your cap to 'em.

I agree, I was having doubts about Brett last year too, but the end of the season made me believe again, when he doesnt feel like he needs to carry the team he is a much better player...I love watching him play too-he has so much fun Pats=amazing...Tom Brady never even sweats! lol

Tom Brady doesn't even have to shower after the game, he is seldom even hurried.

I am happy for Brett Farve, he is a classy individual who has had a wonderful and long career, which deserves to end on a high note. And if this is indeed his last year, for whatever reason, it would end on a strong high note, but it would be because he was there. Sometimes in these situations a great but in decline quarterback due to age gets surrounded by excellent talent, but that is not the case here. Brett Farve has been making his offense look better, I am not saying they are bad, by no means they deserve to be 9-1 but I do not think they'd be that without Brett. Maybe they'd be 9-1 or even 10-0 or they could be 1-9 or 0-10 with any other, so...

Steelers have Miami on Monday night. I can't wait for this game, because they have a lot to prove following loss to the Jets. See I had a feeling about the Jets game, because I wondered if they would be focused and energized...they weren't. That's why they play the games right?

Thunderdawg: sign of a good team to pull that game out against Ravens.

Re: how's your football team doing

that Browns-Ravens game was amazing.  I watched it on NFL replay or something like that, one of the guys from the Ravens said he had to go get one of his gloves back that he gave to a kid in the first row so he could be ready to play in OT! ha good stuff.  Why isn't that reviewable? there's no reason that it shouldnt be...

Packer...oh the Pack, at times I wasnt sure about them but they seem to be getting better.  If Aaron Rogers started for them this year they would be probably about a .500 team.  But then again, who knows what kind of impact no Brett would have on the whole organization.  I dont know how Brett's going to look back on this season...if it will be a wow that was a great season-nice way to go out, or wow that was a great season-lets do it again!  Either way I'll respect his decision though.  If they beat the Lions tomorrow that'll open up a pretty big gap in the division.  The freakin' Pats can clinch if they win tomorrow! thats pretty amazing.  Watching them a few games into the season I remember I made the comment that its like "playing a video game on easy"...which it seems to be when you watch them destroy other teams.  They make all of the other teams seem like JV compared to them.  All those other teams are still full of professional athletes too!  Pretty incredible to see what they are doing this year.  I think someone on sportscenter said if Miami keeps them under 100 next time they play they should break out the champaign lol.

T-Dawg...what are the Browns going to do with Brady Quinn now that Derek Anderson is playing so well?

Re: how's your football team doing

That's the million dollar question and I don't think the team even knows.

Anderson is young (25) and has played well, but the offensive line is giving him a lot of time to throw, and Winslow and Edwards are big weapons to throw to. He's kind of like Favre: he's a got a rocket arm, and is confident in his arm, and sometimes it gets him in trouble.

The Browns might go into next year with both and let them battle in camp, or if another team wants Anderson badly, a trade. The Browns don't have a 1st-round pick in 2008, because they traded it to get Quinn, ironically enough.

The worry is that what if BQ turns into a bust like Ryan Leaf? Anderson is still improving, and it's a risk to go with BQ, but both choices are risky.
