Re: how's your football team doing

OK, time for an update on our teams:

Packers won on Favre's Monday Night bomb in overtime to go to 6-1, but the Lions are 5-2 and in the NFC North hunt...

Steelers beat the Bungles at Cinci & still lead the AFC North, Pitt. is a very solid team in all facets...

my Browns got a scare from St. Louis but QB Derek Andreson is shocking all Browns fans... dude is on fire... 4-3 now, and after years of lousy football 4-3 feels like 7-0 haha

Vikes are 2-5, out of it and need a QB in the draft next year. AP is awesome, they got enough D but no quarterback.

Pats/Colts play a huge game Sunday... I think NE will win because their offence is phenomenal, but don't count out P. Manning at home.

Hope I didn't forget anybody's team... oh there's a Raider fan somewhere here... tough division, but Raiders aren't that bad. Soon time for the wonderkid JeMarcus?
The time has come to face the music again...Back them up against the wall and bring the hammer down...

Re: how's your football team doing

I like the fact that the Browns are 4-3, Derek Anderson has been stunning with his play, he may even get the 'Breakout Player of the year' award.

It sucks that the Shittsburgh Squealers have to have a solid team every time the Browns get a halfway commendable team.

The Pats/Colts game should be a yawner if it is played correctly. The way I see it is this: The Colts got to the Superbowl because of subpar play by all the other teams, and the teams that had the best chance faced them at home so....

Now the Pats will go on 19-0 and what should really be scaring the NFL is this: Some teams Mortgage their season so that they can get one more title before fading away and the players retire and whatever, the Patriots are still VERY young and could possibly be just as dominate or at least in contention for several years to come.

I feel sorry for anyone on the West Coast if the Raider's sell out today (haven't heard as of yet) as the Pats/Colts game wouldn't be shown ... with the 'sell out' it would be Raiders and Texans as the 4PM (1PM PST) game ... Woooo .... I can feel the excitement of the Oakland/Houston matchup all the way here on the East Coast.

I have to say, although you could probably guess, as an east coast Raiders fan I will voluntarily be watching the Raiders/Texans game, through the magic of Directv, instead of Super Bowl 41 1/2.  I'm nothing if not loyal to my team.

I've got to to admit, I respect anyone who's loyal to a 'team' in these days of fantasy football where many are more loyal to players ... although I've got to chuckle .... your statement makes me think of that commercial where (can't remember his name) states that in his day you watched your team play and if they were getting beat you "took it like a man".  Raidercop, you've been 'taking it like a man' for sometime now.  IMO the Raiders need to let Culpepper be the quarterback he can be and air it out.  In fact, isn't Mccown starting this week?  Wow, McCown vs. Rosentels for you this week instead of Brady vs. Manning.  Enjoy the game.Yes  Anyway, Ronald Currey has shown a lot of promise as a receiver ... no Randy Moss ... but then again Randy was really a nothing in Oakland.  What a difference a team makes ...

Re: how's your football team doing

I never thought I'd say this this season but, let JaMarcus Russell play.  McCown is what he is; a career backup.  Culpepper looks really slow, and I don't mean his speed because of his knee.  He's slow getting out from under center, he's slow dropping back into the pocket.  He looks like he's moving in molasses.  Let the rook play.  The team isn't really as bad as they look some weeks.  But they're getting nothing from the QB position, at all.

Re: how's your football team doing

Unless they want JR to sit and learn the whole season - or unless he hasn't grasped the offence yet - then it should soon be time for JeMarcus. The Titans put Vince Young in about this time last year. The Raiders aren't that bad on 'D', but need help on offence

Re: how's your football team doing

oh man, the Packers...I think Brett will have a heart attack before the season's over, they always make things interesting! but they're 7-1 and if they dont play just horrible against the Bears they're 8-0 easy...Brett threw for over 200 in the first half of that game and they should have had a ton more points...and then they went into the shell in the 2nd half and played not to lose rather than playing to win...anywho-good year so far for the Pack

Pats pulled it out even though they got screwed by several calls, 150 yards of penalties vs like 35 for the Colts...hmm

its actually been getting quite boring to watch some games because the officials throw flags on every play it seems...for little very questionable calls, it really slows the game down and makes it boring

Can't you feel the magic, feel it everywhere, Can't you hear the music, there's something in the air, There's a celebration, deep within a song, Celebrate this feeling, you know it can't be wrong

The Patriots are in fact 10-0 now, since they beat the Super Bowl Champion??? Colts and the officials that jumped on their bandwagon. I hate the fucking Colts man.

Re: how's your football team doing

I'm dont care much for the Colts either, the Packers have been getting screwed a lot, pass interference when Charles Woodson is trying to catch the ball?? huh dont get that one, the guy falls over when Woodson has better position but he gets the flag thrown on him...eh whatever I guess, Packers have Brett Favre who has proven to be immortal this year lol!!

At the end of the Colt/Pats game Brady did whatever he wanted anyway, threw it all over the field on them making it look easy

Re: how's your football team doing

Thank god the Pats won, because if they had lost, I think we would have heard about the officiating for sure.  The worst officiated game since the Steelers/Seahawks superbowl and the most one-way officiated game I have ever scene.  The Hobbs interference was a joke, as was the Moss offensive pass interference.  Also the Pats receivers were mugged throughout the entire game.  The officiating crew should be fined heavily for that game.

Re: how's your football team doing

that Steeler/Seahawk game made me sick!! the Moss O-interference call was so horrible it was comical...he did nothing other than run to a spot turn around and jump...

how good are the Pats though? wow winning away from home with totally lopsided officiating? against the only other team of (or almost) their caliber, Tom Brady finally broke a sweat in a game I think

Steelers crushed the Ravens. Maybe, just maybe we can compete with the Pats.

They were all absurd, even the one on Asante Samuel. I think the NFL did it deliberately to cause more controversy in an already over hyped game. The Pats are going, to think the Steelers even have a chance is totally beyond me
