chordguy:Thanks, kendall, that will help shake some coin out of my pockets!
I think April Wine has some videos up on their site, I know that there's one for Sign of the Gypsy Queen and I Like To Rock, I cant remember the other two, and they released a new album not long ago as well, there's some streaming audio of it, along with songs like Before the Dawn(live) which is an amazing song
figured I'd post this for all you April Wine fans out there
Here's a cool AW Video for If You See Kay, great name for a song btw. LOL

Thanks to all who recommended AW. I got Electric Jewels and am glad I did. Very good album! And it holds up well over time, from the songwriting standpoint. Interesting that Terry Brown was the recording engineer, a year or so before he got involved with Rush. In fact, I'd say Electric Jewels is a more enjoyable listen than the first few Rush albums. Or the first couple Triumph albums. Am I allowed to say that?
Next up...Stand Back.
You might be thinking of Slow Poke, knetzke.
Don't Push Me Around is another good one on Stand Back.
thunderdawg:You might be thinking of Slow Poke, knetzke. Don't Push Me Around is another good one on Stand Back.
nope T-Dawg, unless the credits are wrong, Jim Clench sings lead vocals on Oowatanite and Baby Done Got Some Soul
I'm surprised by that, but I believe you...
Been years since I heard it, but I'd always thought the voice on Slow Poke was too deep to be Myles. The cassette I had didn't have any liner notes on the inside, IIRC. Thanks for clearing that up, knetzke.
Yeah oowatanite's always a crowd-pleaser. A few years ago I was driving around and that song came the radio, I cranked the volume. A couple of teenage guys were walking on a crosswalk in front of me and one of them turned, smiled, and gave me the thumbs up. I turned down the radio and he yelled "that's a good song!" or something like that.
I think it's cool when the young kids are listening to the stuff I liked to when I was their age. I'll be 40 in a couple of months, and have a bit of grey hair... I wonder what people think when I've got the stereo blasting hard rock... lol...
