madmax:Heck, just give 'em another award and they'll reconcile again for a couple more shows.Honestly - does anybody here really care much any more whether or not they reunite? They did for two shows, some of us got to see it, the rest of us got to Youtube it. And frankly, those two shows couldn't hold a candle to what they were in their prime. Maybe it's best they call Sweden and Rocklahoma closure and hang it up.

I think it's up to Triumph's marketing team.......that would who they hire to promote as well as all of us.
As soon as we get word of a tour we all need to call our local radio stations ( actually we should start now and continue on ) and request Triumph on the radio. If any of you are on other forums talk about Triumph and promote Triumph. The website was so busy back in January after the news and now the shows are over and back to quiet. They hadn't played in 20 years together and time takes it's toll, but they can get better if they choose. It is not a question of being past their prime, they only did this for us fans and we need at least one more summer.
TRIUMPH TRIUMPH TRIUMPH

Depends on the radio station and their format. We have one station here in St. Louis that has a no repeat WEEK (not day); so there's really no requests. However our world famous KSHE will play Triumph upon request at certain times of the day or when they can fit it in. It is cool that I can just email my request directly to the DJ and he'll reply whether or not he can get to it.
So yes, they still take requests and I'm always asking for Triumph!
I'm hoping the Citizen article is more accurate. I'd hate to think they re-opened old wounds.
Jesus H., we don't need the drama!
I'm with you 'dawg ... sigh ... I've even come up with a TRIUMPH acronym, new for 2008-9 ...

minorprelude:After reading this article and feeling a rock in my gut, I emailed Kathy Wagner the article. Kathy is a dj at the classic rock station 102.9 wmgk in Philadelphia as well as Rik Emmett's booking agent for the east coast(she's credited in the Airtime cd)She was aware of the article and say's it is funny-the journalist fabricated statements that Rik never made, and the newspaper refuses to make a retraction, and that the whole story is BULLSH*T (her quote!) I have met and talked to Kathy many times at Rik's frequent shows here in Philly. She is a good person, and I think she has the inside track for what it's worth. She also reminded me that Rik is playing the Tin Angel in Philly on 11/22 ans Maryland on the 23rd.As for Triumph according to her, they are still considering offers. Hope this is true and soothes some of the confusion. I feel better this morning.
Agreed, It sounded like BS to me too!
Didn't Kathy Wagner get through on Rockline once and talked to Mike Levine many moons ago? I swear I have a tape somewhere. They seemed to get along very well by listening to their conversation.
Wow, so that guy is pretty much a jackass...
He got some people excited though, and got himself some attention. Those were probably his main two goals.
Mission accomplished for him.
I sent him a blistering email.................he won't be happy tomorrow.
maybe he doesn't care ? but I told him how I felt and asked for a retraction.
