    3Dave3:
I have everything they ever released on vinyl still sealed except for Progressions of Power, still looking for that one. Then of course I got all their albums on casette, then had to go get the cd's when they became affordable, God only knows what the next medium will be and we'll all have to go out and replace our exsisting collections of music yet again (damn technology).

    Dave...

chips, i think, wonder what the artwork would be like.
i like the artwork on lps, cd artwork doesn't do it for me

Re: What Triumph Albums Do You Actually Own?

I do not own any of Rik's solo material and never will.

Vinyl: Rock & Roll Machine(the import album with the circular cover)
    Progressions of Power
    Allied Forces
    Never Surrender
    Thunder 7

Cassettes: Rock & Roll Machine(with flying V cover)
    Just A Game
    Progressions of Power

Cd's: Edge Of Excess(yes the original from 1992 printed on the Victory label before they folded)
That is all I own on cd. Waiting to get the remasters.

Am I the only person on this board who mentions Edge Of Excess? It is a good album.

Re: What Triumph Albums Do You Actually Own?

I have every Triumph album on vinyl accept Rock and Roll Machine with the live shot of them playing and the flames to the sides. but I have that on cassette all they way to the "Classics" album. I have cassette of Edge of Excess as well as the cd which is autographed by Gil, Mike and Phil X. I got for getting thru on "Rockline" that radio call in show. I also got to asked a question on another "Rockline" while Rik was still in the band. I have the album "Triumph" with them wearing necklesses and fire in background. I own King Biscuit cd of a live Allied Forces show. I'am collecting the CD's as I can. Have all the cassettes that were available. As far as Edge of Excess is concerned, why didn't another label pick up Triumph after the other label folded. That CD was on fire when it first came out.

I was just curious as to see what Triumph albums people actually own. Are you a fanatic like me who is trying to track down each album (on CD or LP)? Or do you just have some of your faves?

Currently I have every album except "Stages" and "Sport Of Kings" & "Edge Of Excess", the latter of which I can't seem to find. I also have both concerts on DVD. I also recently bought that Anthology which was really good, but unfortunatly they left out Rock 'N' Roll Machine!!

    All except "Classics"............what's the point??

Re: What Triumph Albums Do You Actually Own?

Sorry dave, my bad completely. I mis-read your line "what's the point?"
Thought you were talking about this thread, but realized you meant "what's the point in getting Classics when I have everything else?"

If you missed the post I've edited, don't worry about it...
Cheers and welcome to the boards! biggrin.gif

Re: What Triumph Albums Do You Actually Own?

Just and update since I started this thred a while back...I now own ALL of Triumph's albums on re-mastred CD, including The Anthology and Edge Of Excess. The only one I don't have is Stages, as I was never much for live albums.

Re: What Triumph Albums Do You Actually Own?

Big news..not really, but I just got my hands on Thunder Seven making my Triumph...well as far as all their songs..collection complete, they're all on cd..TSOK and Allied Forces aren't remastered, but the rest are

I also bought "The Best of Rik Emmett" The Millenium Collection to get a taste of Rik's solo stuff, so far its pretty good

I really like the acoustic live versions of Lay It On the Line and Hold on...both songs sound really good, I like the Triumph versions more, but especially Lay It On the Line impressed me, it actually sounds quite a lot like the Triumph version, but I dont like it quite as much.

Re: What Triumph Albums Do You Actually Own?

It's pretty sad but here's my rundown:

    Vinyl:
Triumph, Silver Rock & Roll Machine, Just A Game, Progressions Of Power, Allied Forces, Never Surrender,

    Cassette:
Rock & Roll Machine (wore it out!), Thunder Seven, Sport Of Kings, Surveillance

    1996 CDs:
In The Beginning, Rock & Roll Machine, Just A Game, Porgressions Of Power, Allied Forces, Never Surrender, Thunder Seven, Sport Of Kings, Surveillance

    Remasters:
Just A Game, Progressions Of Power, Allied Forces, Never Surrender, Thunder Seven, Stages, Sport Of Kings, Surveillance

    Oddball:
    Edge Of Excess

I've bought the entire collection at least twice. The new rematers sound great but since the 1996 versions of In The Beginning and Rock & Roll Machine sound pretty good, I haven't bothered replacing them. I've also purchased a few of their DVD's and Triumph was the first concert I attended.
