Re: Fifth Video - Magic Power

Allied Forces effin rocked!  Rik might have played that solo better than the other live versions I've seen of it.  Nice to see the flying V out again too.  Gil sounded great...awesome performance

...took like over an hour to load for me though haha, I'll have to get around to the others one at a time.

Can't you feel the magic, feel it everywhere, Can't you hear the music, there's something in the air, There's a celebration, deep within a song, Celebrate this feeling, you know it can't be wrong

well yeah...that would be the manufacturer of the guitar, but isnt the general shape of a guitar like that called a 'flying V'?

Basically, yes. That was the model name of the original Gibson version, but it has become something of a generic reference for any guitar with that shape. (at least in my experience)

Re: Fifth Video - Magic Power

I realize there were some sound problems but.................

If you listen to the audio compared to what came out of Sweden, it is a 100% better................

The sound was mixed through a digitalized computer soundboard and they sounded great.

The audio problems were Rocklahoma issues......... Listen to the you tube footage is so clear, listen to the other footage from some other bands( You Tube) to tell the difference.

Remember this was recorded( a home video cam) broadcast over you tube. by the way this guy filmed the Video screeens...............................

The DVD is going to be awesome, I hope HD...................

Re: First Video - Lay it

Is it me or did Rik looked pissed off in that video? Looked like he yelled at someone back there and motioned to the drumset with his head. Then he walked off and it looked like it was Mike he was getting to come on. He did'nt seem happy there. Anyone that was there have any ideas what was going on?

As much as I like that song it wasn't his best version of it.

I noticed Rik's nod too - looked emphatic about something.  Was Gil supposed to come in on drums at that point?  Was there a dispute about whether or not to play Hold On, and Gil left Rik hanging?  Certainly hope nothing like that.

Rik was having some in ear sound and stage monitor troubles. The sound person responsible for it wasnt getting it.

Looked to me like Mike didn't come on stage when he was supposed to during the song.

I hope for everyone's sake that was the problem. Hard to tell from that clip. It sure did'nt look like that though especially when he yelled then did the head gesture towards the drums and then walked off stage for a second...coming back on with Mike.  It looked like he was expecting them onstage and they weren't there. But looks can be deceiving. I'm sure you're right Drew.

Re: First Video - Lay it

Just viewed the Magic Power youtube vid for the 1st time, I thought they sounded really good.

I like the way they are doing all this: slow and steady, no big pressure, not making lavish promises.

l still sometimes I find it hard to believe this has all happened.

The time has come to face the music again...Back them up against the wall and bring the hammer down...
