in the heart of a song
Can't you feel the magic, feel it everywhere, Can't you hear the music, there's something in the air, There's a celebration, deep within a song, Celebrate this feeling, you know it can't be wrong

    Re: Trivia

Name the only Triumph studio album such that ALL of the instruments and voices you hear are by Rik Emmett, Mike Levine, and Gil Moore.

    Re: Trivia

that a tough one, background vocals and everything too?

or like the beginning of Too Much Thinking where there's the Reagan speech, or the crowd cheering at the beginning of Movin' On? does that count as not being Rik, Mike, or Gil?

    Re: Trivia

PoP was the answer in mind.

"The City" is the longest studio track. Not sure if any songs played longer in concert.

    ...

Of all the Emmet/Levine/Moore Triumph songs, which was the last one in the can (recorded in the studio)?

    Re: Trivia

Rock You Down? thats the only one that comes to mind, I think I read somewhere that Gil changed the words to it on the last day of recording or something...Rik was pissed ha-understandably

what song was written before Triumph formed...and was put on one of their albums?

    Re: Trivia

Which Triumph song has the least chord variance?

    Re: Trivia

hey chordguy was I right with that guess of Rock You Down?? I have no idea really...

and yeah Blinding Light Show was what I was thinking of...and I'm not sure if there were others or not, Gil and Mike may have had something up their sleeve already too, I just know Rik had that song written before he joined Triumph..or should I say Rick since his name didnt become Rik until someone screwed it up on the credits of...was it Rock and Roll Machine? I thought I read/heard the 2nd album somewhere

    Re: Trivia

Oops, sorry, knetzke11, Rock You Down was the answer in mind. No doubt we've all looked at just about all the publicly available Triumph info, which somewhat limits the pool of "trivia" material. Hence the esoteric question about chord variance!

By the way, examples of other songs with minimal chord variance are "Bullet the Blue Sky" by U2 and "American Woman" by The Guess Who (excluding the mellow intro). Curiously enough, two Triumph songs with minimal chord variance are back-to-back tracks on one particular album.
