    Re: 2008 NFL Predictions:

I'll just put up by diviison winner predictions:

    AFC

    East – Patriots (12-4)

    West –  Chargers (11-5)

North - Browns (10-6) * as a Browns fan, I'm hopeful but also worried. I know it's only pre-season and we've had some minor injuries, nothing serious, but we've looked like garbage.

    South – Colts (11-5)

    Wildcards: Jacksonville, Buffalo

    NFC

    East - Cowboys (12-4)

West - Cardinals (10-6) * Yes, the Cardinals! And I'm not even drunk! Good pick, 666!

    North - Bears (11-5)

    South –  Saints (11-5)

    Wildcards: Giants, Vikings

The time has come to face the music again...Back them up against the wall and bring the hammer down...

I really don't think the Giants will be back, maybe 8-8 at best.

And yes I think the Cardinals and 49ers have made improvements. Regardless of that I think it is about time to see someone besides the Seahawks win the worst division in all of professional sports, sometimes only needing a 8-8 or 9-7 record to do so. That is about as due as you people tired of seeing New England dominate the league...

    Re: 2008 NFL Predictions:

Jet Favre played well in his NY debut.  They didn't win by much though and it was the Dolphins...

Too bad about Brady, fun player to watch.  We'll see how Cassell played over the course of the season.  Pats still have the weapons around him to get it done if he plays maybe an average QB.

Can't you feel the magic, feel it everywhere, Can't you hear the music, there's something in the air, There's a celebration, deep within a song, Celebrate this feeling, you know it can't be wrong

You know as much of weapons as New England has, Matt Cassell will not be the same leader that Tom Brady is. However to shed some humor on the subject here, one of the quarterbacks that New England was looking into was ex-Buc Chris Simms.

Living outside of Tampa, I hear and read about the Bucs all the time, and truth is Chris Simms is NOT a great quarterback, but I have known the Bucs since their innagural 1976 season, and every quarterback they've had and let go to another team has went on to win a Super Bowl. So it stands to reason that maybe, just maybe, if they acquire him, that Buccaneer tradition will stand.

It just sucks to see Brady get hurt, especially since there appeared to be no harm meant, just the way it went down. The injury would not be as devastating had New England won the super bowl last year.

In the end though, the NFL and Roger Goodell have gotten what they wanted. With an embarresing Super Bowl loss(???), and now the injury of their leader, it just might be the end of a dynasty. Congrats NFL, I hope your ratings continue to plummet. Now casual fans cannot tune into games simply because they want to see Brady play...
