Well Dave has been playing most allthe major triumph songs with Rik so it seems logical.  Besides its realy nice to have the two guitar sound in concert.  Brian May did it for the Queen during the "Return of the Champions" tour.  Good for Triumph makes for a better concert experience and sound.

Well if we can't have Rick Santers Dave Dunlop is an outstanding choice.  Saw Rik and Dave play last summer and Mr. Dunlop is right up there with Rik.  The Troubador albums are well worth a listen for any true guitar enthusiasts.  Really hope the shows in Sweden and Oklahoma go well as I am hoping for a full tour soon.

Well I am sure when the guys decided to do a show the whole Triumph thing has exploded into a daunting task. The sound and light gear has to have the dust blown off and gear will have to be replaced that is obsolete.  I am sure the next months and days are extremely busy with practice and review of the production.

From the interviews I have read they have very high standards and expectations of themselves, you can expect a great show in both Sweden and Oklahoma.

Triumph has a HUGE following in the Bay Area! Set up a show at The Shark Tank and I am sure it will sell out. I have also forwarded this information to the local radio stations, and there is alot more airplay.

I'm all for adding Dave. I think it will help them out and give it a fuller sound. Especially since they haven't really played together for 20 yrs. so I imagine there is abit of nervousness and some rust to shake off.  But remember what this is about? It's TRIUMPH UNITES.  Triumph is Rik, Gil and Mike. In the old days it was just the three of them...they did'nt need any back up. Sorry Bobby but more is not needed. Besides Mike played keyboards just fine. I'm sure he can still do it.  If we want the best sound why not just have a slide show of pics of them and play their recorded music then? lol Just kidding. The more we add the more we take away. They will be just fine up there as is. I think if anyone is expecting them to sound and perform just like the 20 yrs did'nt happen is kidding themselves. Rik may have kept playing but I don't think he's quite the same as he was 20 yrs ago. He's matured and is a dam good musician but he's not that young guy running around in tights anymore either. I am looking forward to an older Triumph...I think it'll be interesting to see their interpretation of their songs after all these years. it'll be good I know it.

I also grew up on Triumph, and they have remained my favorite band.
The best part is my four kids, 9, 8, 4, and 2 all beg me to play anything from triumph!  It is the best feeling hearing your favorite band being playing "too loud" (ya right!) by your children.

I grew up in M.A. and saw the thunder seven and sport of kings tours.

I too would love to see them again...and I wouldn't need a sitter because the kids want to go too.

Keep it together and rock on triumph!!!!

It is nice that Dave can join and support the most talented guitarist in the world. Don't forget Toronto - a club show or a Massey Hall show would be great in additon to the ACC. Can't wait!!!
