Hey Gil,
Very good interview...One day at a time seems like a great way to look at the future of Triumph. Often when people plan way ahead of themselves, something or someone always screws it up, but when people take it one day at a time, things seem to work out better and less dissapointments. Just extremely very happy that Triumph is back together. Rik, Mike and yourself Gil, have fun doing what you do best and enjoy it for as long as you all can....
Hope to see you in Ottawa someday soon and good luck to Triumph at the Juno*s...
Your #1 fan always

One day at a time indeed. Be sure to have the videocameras roling in Sweden. Too many of the Allied Forces obviously won't be in attendance so we need an official dvd of the show to heal our pain. Hope you guys have a real blast playing together again. I'm hoping for a Canada/USA tour but if it doesn't happen, you guys have already given me decades of great musical enjoyment and countless great shows. Thanks for always being a part of my life through your great music. Best always~

Guys,
Personal relationships are priority number one. Personally, I dream of the day I log onto this website and see a North American tour schedule, including Dallas. But if my choice is to see Triumph in concert or knowing that the three of you remain friends, I'll take your friendship. Until I hear one way or another, I will pray for the best of both worlds.
Take some of your own advice and Fight The Good Fight.
Cheers!

I have been waiting to see the words TRIUMPH REUNITES for so long now! Having grown up on Triumph and seeing them in concert in Buffalo in the 80s, this is a band whose time has come to play again together. I hope too that all goes well in Sweden and in rehearsels, and the boys enjoy playing together again and that we see a North American tour soon! Whether its Buffalo, Toronto, Dallas or Denver, I will be there to see TRIUMPH in action! The MAGIC POWER is back!

Please, please, please tour the U.S. and come to my hometown, or somewhere close to Omaha, Nebraska. Triumph has always been my favorite, since I first heard R&R Machine in 1978. I'm 46 now, own my own business, and my office is decorated all in Triumph memorabilia. I am definitely one of the, if not THE, biggest Triumph fans of all time. My favorite song is Blinding LIght Show. Please practise that one and play it live for me!!! You made my year with the news of a reunion. Thanks a million, guys. Kick-ass!!!

Hey, I can't believe that my favourite band returns, a dream come true. Here in Germany are many triumph Fans, we've waited so long to hear "Say Goodbye" or "Ordinary Man" live. I prefer the greatest Triumph Song of all Triumphsongs- THE CITY! This is the heaven of creative playing. Thanks and we're waiting to see the canadian rock champions!!

Families and marriages can be divisive and never heal. Understandable. Often times, healing does occur. The current VAN HALEN tour is an example. TRIUMPH has achieved perennial greatness. New England misses and craves for the Rock & Roll Machine's Triumphant return. Best wishes for the reunion. Allied Forces, indeed!

I jumped for joy when I heard that there was a possibility that Triumph would tour again. I can remember seeing Triump with special guests Starchild and Moxy at Bingeman Park in Kitchener years ago. What a spectacle! It was absolutely stunning to see these guys rock. Everybody was on their feet stomping, clapping and singing..."EVERYBODY PARTY 24 HOURS A DAY"....there were noise complaints from nearby farms. What memories!
I love your music and would love to rock with Triumph again.

Part of me wants to say that you guys owe it to your fans to reunite, tour North America, and maybe even record a new album. But the realist in me says that you guys have already given the world your wonderful music and I have many great memories of having had the privilage to see TRIUMPH live in concert. Thank you for all that you've given to us. An earlier writer posted that "taking it one day at a time is best". I agree. I hope and pray, as do we all, that you guys find your friendships once again, and permanently heal all old wounds and look forward to the future of TRIUMPH one day at a time. I hope that if you do decide to tour again (and maybe even record new music together), that you do it for the right reasons for you guys. You don't have to prove anything to anyone except yourselves. All I can ask is that you please do reunite, record, and tour once again. We here in New Mexico would love to see you again. You guys have been my favorites since high school (twenty some years ago), and I would love to see the band live again. My favorite songs...Fight the Good Fight and Blinding Light Show of course. I hope to see TRIUMPH again in the near future. Take care and God Bless.

hey guys: i have been waiting for you to get back together again. i have been watching the dvd a night of triumph live, it brings back lots of memories. i seen both the allied forces and never surrender tours back in the day, that was in buffalo. if you do tour again hsbc arena will be waiting for you in buffalo. the main thing is like everyone else have said, i am so glad that you are friends again. life is to short to stay mad at each other. so let's make some new music and hit the road for a canadian and north american tour.

That 1985 L.A. Sports Arena show was my first concert, and one of those rare moments in life that you never forget!! So happy to hear that you've reconciled and best wishes for your friendship to grow stronger with every passing day. Rik is certainly one of the most talented guitarists I've watched, but Gil and Mike are every bit his equal on their respective instruments and the confluence of their talents are what make Triumph one of the top progressive rock bands of all time. Good luck in Sweden and rest assured there are many of us looking forward to seeing you live once again here in the U.S.!!

As all the Triumph fans out there I want to be able to see the band at least one more time, I seen Triumph in New Castle New Brunswick Canada in the 70's on there Rock and Roll Machine tour, it was the coolest concert I had ever seen, I was around 16 or 17 at the time, I am now 45 and still feel the same. I have never had the chance to see them since then, I hope if you do tour you will come to see us in New Brunswick. (PS, I live in Moncton NB now and we have been hosting some outdoor concerts with upwards of 80K people:}
Thanks
Terry

I've missed you guys for so long. I hope ya have a blast in Sweden and everything clicks so that you do decide to go ahead with the tour. I can remember getting grounded as a kid for taking off without permission to go see you guys play. That would've been around '81. Also that iconic poster of you guys-the live shot with the giant lightbulb movie marquee logo behind ya? Had it for years. Your tours in the 80's helped form the soundtrack of my youth, and hopefully will do so for my forties. Glad to see you're goin' slow and makin' sure it feels right before fully jumpin' back into the fire. I'd rather have my (great) memories than witness something that feels forced. If somebody had told me last year that you guys were gettin' it back together,I would've told 'em to put that pipe down cuz crack is wacked.

Hello Rik, Gil, and Mike: I was always looking for info. on the band as time went on and I had guessed that the band had died, but every year or so I would check again to see if there was anyting new. As a drummer I had become an insttant fan of Gil who did things many drummers don't attempt in singing lead. You are the only band that could pull off making a three sound like six. The vocal layering, while pulling a guitar riff or a drum fill was always your trademark. I am glad to hear that you could be getting back together and it is my sincere hope that you find happiness as a group. just remember that we as fans are less important than your sanity. If all turns out well I will be buying tickets to see you in the San Francisco Bay Area when you swing by. Just like your lyrics. In your song, "Every Moment" Fight the Good Fight, or, you know what, just don't fight so we can hear amazing music.
Sincerely, Erik Elvebak

Hey Gil: The best plan is what is in your hearts, and what is in your familes best encouragement. Congratulations for your bands achievement award in Canada. All of you deserve it and belong there as does a sound that could never be imitated by any group. Triumph is without a doubt in a league of it's own. Oh, by the way Happy Birthday. Sad how rap has taken over and we are all kind of 40ish now. Please have an awesome tour if one happens. Rock n roll, never dies!!!!!!!!!!!!! Follow your heart. Never thought I would ask you guys to take the advice you gave the world. Thanks for the memories, and a very exciting future.

Gil, many bands have come and gone. The legacy TRIUMPH has left us is not gone.
Seems, like you, hold the ace of spades. I know Mike was a producer, how about giving Rik a place in Metalworks,I find it only befitting that the whole studio, be ran by the best. G,M,R the Triumph Trilogy!
Good luck on all your venues, God Bless.
