I just had a look at the interview preview and thought it was great. It's too bad I don't have a faster internet connection because it was kinda choppy.
While it would be great to see the guys get together again as a band, it sure is nice to see them as friends again. It's good to see Rik talking so openly and candid about the band. I look forward to seeing the rest of the interview. A Triumph reunion tour of sorts would be a dream come true but as with anything in life, you can't always get what you want. Life goes on. The fact that you are friends again is great in itself. Anything else is a bonus. I just want to thank all 3 of you for the great music you put out. Your music greatly influenced me in my younger years and helped me through some tough times by being positive. I still listen to it when I'm feeling alittle down. It always picks me up. Thanks again. Rik mentions the song suitcase blues. I have to say that song was the start of my love of listening to the blues. Congrats on the hall of fame induction. It's long overdue. By the way Rik, when are you going to come back to Regina? Last time you were here I enjoyed your performance alot. I remember you came here in 90 or 91 too and I got to meet you. Thank you for being so nice to talk to.

Never say Never, Great to have these guys as friends again, What a band, two awesome singers and musicanship that is almost unmatched !! I would hope that they would get on the reunion band wagon like The Police and The original four members of Asia !! It sounds like the members have done alot of growing up and can put the past behind them. I never got to see Triumph and for selfish reasons, I hope they can work together again, I need new Triumph music and a tour to go with it !! somebody give Gil a drumset, I read he hasn't played since Triumph took a long , long break !! Thanks for all the ear candy !!! hope to see you SOON !!

Never say never is right but who knows. I have seen Triumph several times in the late 70s and early 80s. They were incredible. Ranks among the top rock shows I've seen. I think also that new music and a tour to go with it would be the way to go. It would be interesting to listen to an older version of the band's music. But, Rik is a busy man. He'd have to clear alot of his schedule. From what I've read, I'm not sure where he finds the energy for what he's doing now. Rik just keeps getting better and better. He's recorded alot of great music since Triumph. I can't wait for Airtime. But, whatever happens they gotta do what's right for them. Friendship should always come first.

Has anyone noticed that rikemmett.com has no tour dates for 2008? Does that mean Triumph will be touring!! What are you thoughts?

i love the lyrics and the GUITAR,BASS,DRUMS... what really hits me is the awesome
lead guitar wrenching, screaming, soul hooking bass...look,this band has always had a message of hope, promise, righteousnes that can never be relived.SINGING DRUMMER,THAT KICKS ASS?? UNREAL TALENT!!!!!!!!
ive loved the great bands like zeppelin, uriah heep, floyd, sabbath, nugent, rush, skynyrd and the whole she-bang,but lets face it,the total package of TRIUMPH will never ever have to worry about comparisons to any of those bands just due to the fact that all their music is so uplifting.Have you ever heard a TRIUMPH track with a feeling of discontent? hell no you havent!! so please lets honor this greatest of rock-n-roll trios with the our heartfelt blessings. when im 80 years old ill be still be whiping tears from eyes thinking about the track off of surveillance"let the light shine on me". if u dont have kids it dont matter,u have parents.............Its one hell of an honor to have been alive while these guys made the best rock-n-roll music ever produced,im still in awe after 20 years of listening to the complete "triumph" experience.....now reunite mother'f'ers!!!...PLEASE????

The music world needs a Triumph reunion badly. T was a great band with a vision that was ruined by greed mongering record execs. I heard Fight the good fight on the radio today and had to stop what I was doing and listen. Their music still stands on its own. Triumph had something special and should try to get back to that place.

congraulations on being inducted in the Canadian Music Hall of Hall. I hope Triumph
gets inducted into the rock'n Roll hall of fame. 2 questions, 1, are there going
bonustracks on the remasted edition of the CDS, perhaps outtakes of Fight The
Good Fight and Lay it On The Line. 2nd, What's the staus on a tour.

I've seen Triumph 5 times and I've seen Rik's solo act 4 or 5 times-both shows offer total musical satisfaction on a different level-put the two back together and you get a musical orgasam-a reunion would be very cool...

AS FAR AS TOURING GOES, I DON'T WORRY! I KNOW IT WILL HAPPEN, IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO! THE BAND KNOWS THAT WITHOUT THE FANS THEY WOULD BE NOTHING, THEY WILL GIVE TO THE FANS WHAT THE FANS GAVE TO THEM, FAME, FORTUNE, LOYALTY, HEY I'VE WAITED 23 YEARS TO SEE A "TWISTED SISTER REUNION" BUT IT CAME, I SAW THEM AGAIN & THE SHOW ROCKED! SO TRIUMPH FANS HAVE FAITH, IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!
