Triumph's Induction Updates

It was quite a weekend for Triumph this past Saturday as Gil, Mike and Rik were honored with an induction into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame. Friends, family and Industry Execs all came out to congratulate Triumph on their long overdue recognition.

Highlights of the night included an onslaught of requests for the band to get back on the road, Gil’s spontaneous invite to the after party for some fans that traveled all the way from Boston and seeing Triumph on stage together again as friends.

In case you missed out but wish you were there then why not head over to the photo gallery to check out some pictures from the induction and some snapshots from the After Party at the Hard Rock Cafe. Special thanks to Jacki at www.bravewords.com

Then when your done over there be sure to watch the latest featured video of Mike, Gil and Rik  thanking everyone for this special honor. There’s still a lot more coverage that we have to offer so be sure to visit often.

Thanks to all responsible for adding so much to this fantastic site.
I'am always interested in any news on Triumph. They brought a lot on excitement in my "Rockin" younger years and still do today.

What do you mean it's not 1985???? :)
I just hope Rik,Gil and Mike can at least settle their differences for a little while and get out there.... I mean, when is the last time you ever heard one of "today's" band do a decent guitar, bass, or even drum solo!!! Dudes, you are in your 50's.... move on and be cool... and come to Central New York.

I saw Rik about a month ago in a benefit show with a full band.  God, he's still got it!  Wouldn't it be something if they got back together?  I really think they'd be bigger now than they were in the 80's.  But, I understand Rik wants credit for the material he writes.  Gil is a damn good singer, but Triumph's bread and butter has always been the songs on which Rik sang.  However, the harmonizing and duets on Thunder Seven were pretty awesome, too.  Whenever I saw that clip of Gil, Mike, Sebastian Bach, and the other guitarist performing "Rock and Roll Machine" I wanted to hurl.  Please guys, no Triumph without Rik.
