Triumph Inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame

Canadian hard-rock trio, Triumph, will be inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame during Rogers Wireless Canadian Music Week. Music veterans Gil Moore (drums/vocals), Mike Levine (bass/keyboards) and Rik Emmett (guitar/vocals) will accept the honour Saturday, March 10th during the Canadian Radio Music Awards at Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York Hotel.

Rogers Wireless Canadian Music Week is Canada’s largest annual entertainment event dedicated to the expression and growth of the country’s music, media and entertainment industries. Canadian Music Week spans from March 7 to March 10, 2007 at the Fairmont Royal York and various downtown Toronto venues, attracting participants from across the globe. One small step....   "Triumph" was even mentioned on Rik's website instead of "TBTSGN".  Things are starting to head in the right direction....

I can't believe it's been almost 20 years since Triumph broke up! I only heard vague details of how it happened. Although formal appologies have been made (which is a good start), it still sounds like there are still some scars left from the ordeal. With that said, I am the BIGGEST Triumph and Rik Emmett fan on the planet! Even after all these years, their cd's are still in my deck about about 70% of the time over anything else I listen to. So for me, a reuinion tour would be a dream come true. So come on guys...pull it together!

First, let start by saying that the prospect of a TRIUMPH World Tour, even if it's only gossip, is major leap in the right direction.  I haven't heard a thread of anything pertaining to this in over 17 years.  Rik, Gil and Mike are indeed masterful musicians and the world deserves to see them showcase their talents "LIVE" at least one more time.

We can pray and keep our fingers crossed that their long-coming induction into the Canadian Rock Hall of Fame will be the spark that can reunite this incredible trio and offer the fans one more glimpse at the "ROCK AND ROLL MACHINE" - LIVE.

I wouldn't hold any hope that a reunion is going to happen. If you have read Rik's comments over the years it seems he is happy doing his own thing. I would love to see it happen but I think Rik has gone his own way and is happy where he is.
